All you have to do is find the area of the flower bed if it was a circle using (pi)r^2 and then divide by 2,

d=2r 3=2r, r=1.5 

the area of the circular flower bed is (pi)(1.5)^2

Semicircular : [ (pi)(1.5)^2 ] / 2

This, rounded to the nearest decimal place is 3.5m^2
