The Origins of the Term "Culture". And, the word 'culture' comes from the Latin cultus, which means 'care', and from the French colere which means 'to till' as in 'till the ground'. There are many terms that stem from the word culture.

So, culture was developed by people getting together and creating bonds, and caring about each-other.

And, colere means 'to till as in 'till the ground', which shows how devoted they were to each-other.
